NURSING TEAM

We employ three Nurse Practitioners, three Practice Nurses and three Health Care Assistants/Phlebotomists. Also working in the surgery are community (district) nurses, health visitors, school nurses, and a midwife who are employed by Somerset Partnership.

Nurse Practitioners

Thea and Juliet are qualified to fully assess and diagnose, treat and refer patients who attend the surgery for same day appointments.

Teona uses her experience as a Paramedic as part of our On the Day Team.

Health Care Assistants

Our nursing team are available by appointment for advice about any health matters, immunisations, family planning and dressings. They carry out blood pressure checks, ECGs, cervical smears and run clinics for patients with chronic diseases, e.g., asthma, diabetes or high blood pressure.

Please note that most blood tests ordered by your doctor are carried out by our Health Care Assistants at a separate appointment. Please specify your requirement when booking an appointment.
