Health and Wellbeing

Wells City Practice and Wells Health Centre are working together to develop a Health and Wellbeing Centre for Wells. We are also working with the other GP practices across Mendip in a group called Your Health & Wellbeing.

We would really like to have your thoughts on what might make a difference to your own health and wellbeing so that we can use them to shape your future Health and Wellbeing Centre.

HEALTH CONNECTIONS MENDIP

Health Connections Mendip is a new health and wellbeing service available to patients. Patients can talk to a health connector at the surgery to find out about local activities, support and services available, and can also arrange one-to-one appointments to speak to a Connector. During these appointments a Health Connector will listen to your health story and assist you with setting health-related goals which are meaningful to you. Health Connectors also support you to make positive changes that last. You can also access the service by Tel: 01373 468 368, email: [email protected] or visit us at: www.healthconnectionsmendip.org

Zing Health Walks

Do you enjoy walking or would you like to start, so you can improve your health?  We run regular walks across Mendip which are free for anyone to enjoy.  We run a walk, in conjunction with Wells Health Centre and City Practice, every other week, from Pickwicks café.  See our Zing website or posters in the surgery for more information.

Health walks vary in length and can last from 20 minutes to 90 minutes.  We are particularly keen to recruit new volunteer walk leaders for the Wells area and offer free training. If you are interested, please contact the Zing hub on 0800 412 5502 or email [email protected]

Happy walking!
